Our Caring Approach
At Smile Essential we pride ourselves than being more than just a standard dental practice. We do everything we can to make every patient's journey as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We believe that our caring approach is the reason that we see patients not just from Leicester, but from around the UK and even overseas.
My current dentist is Nik, I would highly recommend him. He's friendly, efficient and painless and I would recommend anybody to go and see him. 
They explain everything to you from the start to the finish…the environment's friendly, welcoming and the staff always make sure that you leave with a smile. To aid in your relaxation, we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have. We strive to make the practice a relaxed environment and to that end have scented candles in the Patient Lounge, and also offer the chance to listen to your favourite music during treatment via the on-demand service Spotify, as well as a DVD library for longer treatments.
We are also proud to be a family practice, treating patients of all ages. In many cases we see several generations of the same family, and are happy that many of our patients are happy to recommend us to family and friends.
For children, we recommend bringing them in as soon as they have their first tooth, to get them used to visiting the dentist, which will help them maintain good dental health later in life. We actively encourage parents to register their children, and regularly holds special children's weeks during school holidays, with special children's activities and dental health advice. We also have an Oral Health Educator who regularly provides oral health education talks both in the practice and at local schools and residential homes.
If, like many patients, you're put off by the thought of dental injections, possibly due to a bad experience in the past, you need not fear. At Smile Essential we use The Wand, a computer-controlled way of delivering anaesthetic that does not look like a needle. The "bee sting" effect that many people report when having a traditional dental injection is not in fact caused by the needle, but by the anaesthetic being delivered too quickly. The Wand ensures anaesthesia is delivered in a controlled, pain-free manner.
